Extensive experience of working and writing on the impact of abuse and trauma
Christiane is a senior lecturer in Psychology at the Unversity of Roehampton and a sessional Lecturer at Birbeck College, University of London. She also lectures at the City Literary Institute. She has 28 years experience working in child sexual abuse, interpersonal trauma and domestic abuse.
She has run consultancy and training for parents, teachers, social workers, nurses, therapists,counsellors, socilitors, the Catholic Safeguarding Advisory Committee, Methodist Church, Metropolitan Police, the NSPCC and the Refugee Council.
She is a member of the British Psychological Society with over twenty years of research and clinical experience in chld sexual abuse, rape, domestic violence and complex trauma. She is also experienced in religious sexual abuse, sexual abuse by counsellors and therapists, trauma, PTSD and Dissociation and Secondary Traumatic Stress in professionals working with trauma. Sexuality and sexual dysfunction, in particular paedophilia and sado-masochism.
